Hocus Pocus 2 Review

Hocus Pocus 2 Review

The 1993 Halloween classic is back with its sequel starring the one and only Sanderson sisters! What malicious scheme could they have planned this time?

Pulling many heartstrings from the ones who watched its original movie, Hocus Pocus 2 is nostalgic, comical, and wholesome. The film presents a group of friends, Becca, Izzy, and estranged Cassie, in modern-day Salem, Massachusetts. Since they were five, they conducted seances in the woods every Halloween night. This Halloween night, Becca turns 16, and while performing their annual séance, Becca and Izzy summon the Sanderson sisters. Ready to take back what’s theirs, Winnie, Mary, and Sarah plot their evilest scheme. It’s up to Becca, Izzy, and Cassie to stop the most powerful coven in the world from destroying Salem and their loved ones.

I thoroughly enjoyed the movie and loved the concept. I loved how the 1993 characters were re-casted in the sequel, such as Billy Butcherson. Watching the Sanderson sisters discover modern-day technology was hilarious and served as a buffer between the action-packed scenes. Filled with musical numbers, synchronized choreography, and comedy, Hocus Pocus 2 is enjoyable to watch with friends and family. Hocus Pocus 2 is streaming on Disney Plus.
