Legacy Basketball Camp
Hosted by Coach Jonathan McClinton, Legacy camp is open for registration! It is designed for boys aged 5 -14 and teaches basketball skills such as ball handling, shooting, defense techniques, speed, and agility.

Lady Bronco Volleyball and Basketball Camp
Hosted by Zachary High’s volleyball coach, Cheri Perry, and girls’ basketball coach, Tami McClure, this is a camp for parents who need something quick and easy and/or want to keep their kid active! From June 10-June 12, camp hours for volleyball are from 8am-11am, and basketball is from 12-2pm, with a $110 registration fee for each camp, or $200, if your child attends both. For kindergarteners through 7th graders, kids who are interested in volleyball and/or basketball can learn how to play, meet new people, and most importantly, have fun! Baseball Camp
If your child loves baseball, then this is the camp for them! For ages 5-14, your kid would learn how to play from Zachary High’s Baseball coaches, students, and college athletes. They will teach drills and activities to build their skills. Your kids will also get an autograph session with players and coaches! Registration is $120 and must be returned in the morning of the first day of camp. The camp is from June 10-13 from 9am – 12pm. Agriculture Camp
Calling all plant and animal lovers! In ZHS’ Ag building run by Melissa Brumbaugh, this camp is for ages 5-10. From July 15-19, from 8am-1pm, instruction is led by ZHS Ag students. Snacks are provided, but every kid is responsible for their own lunch. For $150, kids will create a hands-on project to take home each day. Deadline to apply is June 14. Wrestling Camp
From June 17-20, Zachary High school will be hosting a wrestling bootcamp. Children of all ages are invited to learn about the world of wrestling and practice lifting, throwing, tackling, and pinning. The camp is $125 per wrestler. Cross Country Camp
If your child loves to run, check out this camp that the Zachary Cross Country team is hosting from June 24-27! Children entering 1st-6th grade are invited. The camp will include running, games, relay races, theme days, strength activities, team building, snacks, and a camp T-shirt. Summer Camps in the Zachary/Baton Rouge Area
The YMCA at Americana
From May 27-August 2, the YMCA summer camp offers fun-filled activities such as: swimming, cooking classes, STEM, pickleball, drama, sports, zip lining, tennis, board games, and so much more! Snacks are provided but not lunch! From 7am-5:30pm, for 7–12-year-olds, registration is $25 and an additional $15 non-refundable deposit per week, your child is attending the camp. Balances for each week are due the Friday prior to the week your child is attending, and, for any day after that Friday, there will be an additional $25 fee for the week following. The Baton Rouge Zoo
For any animal lovers, this is the camp for you! Although it’s the furthest away, located at the Baton Rouge Zoo from May 27-August 2, this camp is so much fun! Offered to 5–13-year-olds, the activities are centered around animal education. Active from 9am-4pm, early drop off is from 7:30-9am and late pick-up is from 4-5:30pm, to be more convenient for parents. The registration fee is $130 for EBR (East Baton Rouge) parish residents and $152 for out-of-parish residents. Apply at https://brzoo.org.
Rollins Place Elementary Arts & Science Camp
The RPE art and science camp is a camp for kids’ 5th grade or higher. This camp entails STEM lessons on art, science, technology, and movement activities taught by RPE teachers. This camp is June 8- 12 from 9am-3pm with a registration fee of $180 due before May 2. After this deadline, the fee will be $200. The camp will have morning and afternoon extended time from 7-9am and 3-5pm for $25 in the morning and $40 in the afternoon. Bright Beginnings Day Camp
Focused on teaching planting and harvesting, Bright Beginnings prides itself on early education. For kids 5-10, registration is $100 per child and requires a weekly fee is $175 per week. The camp is all summer from June 13 –August 2 with weekly “Fun Fridays” where your kid will enjoy going to the park, swimming, or attending a field trip.
