Well, folks, it’s that time of year again: football season! What better way to spend a Friday night than cheering for your favorite football team to victory?
The offense got to work quickly, as quarterback Caleb Gonzalez (12) connected with both Nathaniel James (12) for a quick rushing touchdown and Kristion Brooks (11). The offensive onslaught continued with Davekio Ruffin (12) putting up big rushing numbers against the Saints.
The defense held the Saints throughout the game. Even with the shortened quarters, the Broncos’ defense shut down the Saints’ offense with numerous sacks and forced incompletions midway through the second half.
The Broncos took down the Saints with a score of 28-12.
Reflecting on last week’s scrimmage, Coach David Brewerton has seen improvement in the team’s overall performance, but he recognizes that they still have work to do.
“I think we fixed some things that we had problems with last week,” Brewerton said, “I thought we played with good effort tonight, and now we have to get better for next week.”
