David Prado (10) said this race gave him an idea of how to approach the next one. He felt that he pushed himself too hard too early in the race, and he’ll try to maintain a steady pace throughout next time.
“Don’t go too fast at the beginning because then it’s going to be like what happened to me today, and you’re just going to have a lot of pain through the race,” said Prado.
Overall, this first race acted as a fun time for the Broncos to compete with neighboring schools for the first time and a starting point to build off over the course of the season.
