Genevive’s sushi is the newest restaurant on the scene in the city of Zachary. Located in the Zachary Commerce Center off Highway 964, the atmosphere of the restaurant is very cozy and modern with subtle lighting and a spacious interior. I was greeted with great service when going and immediately sat down at my table ready to order.
The menu had such amazing choices; all the rolls had very enjoyable descriptions. They also have a hibachi menu if you don’t want rolls and have a kids menu for little kids who might not enjoy or want to try food just yet. The kid’s menu consists of Chicken tenders and fries. Also available to eat salads, Poke bowls, towers, wraps, crudo. Maki rolls which are $5 to $7, and nigiri/sashimi which are 1 piece for $2 to $3.
Genevieve’s sushi is a family-owned restaurant. The owners are John Thawng and Ann Sung, their daughter Genevieve Thawng. Genevieve said when they were creating the dining experience, they wanted to create, “…A modern and welcoming atmosphere.”
The restaurant is open seven days a week from 7:00 am to 8:00 pm. Prices on the rolls depend on if you get a basic roll, specialty roll, or a house signature roll. Basic rolls range from $7 to the highest price being $10; specialty rolls cost from $10.50 to $15.95, and then the House Signatures range from $13 to $18. These prices can be affordable for a late-night dinner if you don’t want to cook, or if you want to have a quick meal with your friends or family.
Whether you’re a sushi addict or a newcomer to the cuisine, Genevieve’s sushi and Hibachi have a wide selection of options to choose from.
