The Homecoming week started off with creative dress-up days that showed everyone’s fashion sense, then the pep rally that sparked the school’s spirit. A parade that united everyone in the community, and even though the football team faced a tough loss, the spirit and effort never went down. Which sets the tone for the main event, the dance.

On Saturday night, the gym was completely transformed. A photo booth with a sparkling backdrop made students attracted to create memories, while the DJ’s lights lit up the gym with color and energy. The music was upbeat and awesome. As soon as “Wobble” by V.I.C, everyone’s tone shifted; everyone ran to the floor. And it was kept that way for the rest of the night. After a long period of dancing and music, the excitement paused to announce the Homecoming court.
Carly Johnson (12), Amelia Dupre (12), Aubri Scott (12), and Zahara Firven (12) represented the senior class, with Quinn Langley (11), Madison Selders (11), and Meagan Roussell (11) rounding off the upperclassmen homecoming maids. The sophomore homecoming maids featured Samantha Straub (10), Kierstyn Williams (10), Niya Hayes (10), and Sofie Morara (10), and the freshman included Ramiyah Perry (9), Sage Young (9), and Carleigha Jackson (9).

Cheers erupted in the room as they called out the court and their date. The Homecoming Queen Carly Johnson (12) was announced, and cheers erupted the Havoc House.
As the music slowed and the lights came on, the night came to a dazzling end. Students were left with a bunch of memories from that week. It wasn’t all about the dance; it was about the school spirit and how the memories will stick with us down the road. The dance was amazing this year and will be for many years to come.
