Boys Basketball LSHAA Playoffs Against Ruston High

 

 

The Boys Varsity Basketball team received a Bye in Bi-District and went on to defeat the #17 East St. John Wildcats 64-54 in the Regional round. On Friday, March 1, the Broncos then faced the #8 Ruston High Bearcats in the Quarterfinals on the Division 1 (Non-Select) 5A State Playoffs.

Despite a tie score of 15-15 in the first quarter, the Broncos showed resilience and managed to break the tie with two points, ending the second quarter with a score of 26-24.

During halftime, the Bronco and Bearcat cheerleaders had a tumble-off, showcasing their skills and inspiring the teams.

It was a nail-biting game between The Bearcats and the Broncos in the third quarter. The Bearcats were leading by 9 points, but the Broncos didn’t give up. In the fourth quarter, they came back, showing their grit and determination. Entering the final minutes, the Broncos scored crucial points closing the gap to 5 points. Although the final score was 55-62 in favor of The Bearcats, the Broncos played with heart .
